S2 Week 6

Mohammed: We were getting closer to the end goal in having a functioning exoskeleton with some caveats. When it came to the motor we did bring up that a near gearbox that had a lower ratio would allow us to increase the speed of the rotation, but in doing so the system could not easily lift the aluminum shaft that was being used for stress testing. Thankfully the older gearbox was strong enough to handle the weight due to its higher ratio. Further testing will be used to increase the speed of the series to insure it doesn't hinder the subject as they walk.

Natalie: I had a light week of work because I was out of town over the weekend. Most of my time was spent working on deliverable 6.

Chris & Cameron: The work completed this week dealt with mostly redesigns of existing components. Cameron was able to redesign what will hopefully be the final iteration of the hip bracket and we were able to assemble things to a point where we can finally see what our final product will look like. Given the circumstances we were able to get a lot done with the fabrication side of things too, fully fabricating one side of metal components , including the upper thigh and plate section.
