Week 3 Update: Natalie

During class we gained clarity about the design process and class expectations during part of the class time on 9/22/2021. 

Afterwards the team began brainstorming concept designs for our stability in walking strategy. 

This weekend I spent some time working on Click Up for this upcoming week's responsibilities and reached out to the team regarding individual research process. I did this to check in and make sure we were on schedule for the week's tasks.

Was unsuccessful finding a topic for the ethics paper and read articles that were not helpful in picking a topic. I will spend more time this week finding a topic to begin writing the ethics paper about.

While researching ideas for concept designs for our strategies (Stability in Walking, Regulates Gait, and Promotes Proper Muscle Development), I found different exercises that patients can do to help with all three. I think that we as a team are leaning more towards mechanical assistance for these strategies and there are not as many products out there as opposed to exercises and medical treatments.

The team brainstormed concept designs for both our Regulates Gait and Promotes Proper Muscle Development strategies for a few hours this week. We hit a few mental blocks when brainstorming, however were able to come up with almost 40 ideas for each. It was interesting to have similar ideas across all three strategies which will help in the long run when deciding upon a design.
